Follow these steps to learn how to add a one-time product to your funnel. Note that a one-time product can be added directly into the funnel builder after it has been made in PaymentsProducts

Step 1: Configure the Product for your Funnel

  • Navigate to SitesFunnels
  • Select the funnel you wish to add the product.
  • Navigate to the Products tab.
  • Click the +Add Product.
  • Select your product and price from the drop-downs provided.
  • You can also identify if the product was a main or bump product here.
  • Click Save to confirm your changes.

Step 2: Add the Product to your Funnel

  • Navigate to Overview and Edit Page to enter the funnel builder.
  • In the builder, after adding the section and row you'll need to add an element. The element needs to be an order form.
  • Then you can update the Two-step/One-step order form settings from the panel on the right-hand side. You can customize the Shipping and Info tabs.
  • General Settings will allow you to customize the visual aspects.
  • Advanced Settings will allow you to customize the fields of the order form, and additional aspects that can be altered.
  • Remember to always save and preview the settings. You can also test it for yourself by clicking on the Eye icon to preview the funnel page.

NOTE: Changing the text in a two-step order form field doesn’t change where the field will populate in a contact record. For example, the email address field will always populate the information into a customer’s email address field within their record. Therefore, we’d recommend not changing “Email Address” to “Phone Number” but you could customize it to say “Personal Email Address” or “What’s the best email address to reach you at?”

NOTE: “Dynamic Item” and “Price”: In Step #2 of the order form, where it says “Dynamic Item” and “Price”, these are just placeholders, so long as you’ve followed Step 1 and added the product before adding the form into the funnel builder. In preview mode, this will display your product and price.

Pro Tips

Pro Tip 1: Always test your funnel after adding the product to ensure that the order form works correctly and that all fields populate data accurately in the contact records. Use the preview mode (Eye icon) to validate the entire purchase process from a user’s perspective.

Pro Tip 2: Use the Advanced Settings in the order form to customize fields according to your specific needs. This allows for a more tailored checkout experience and can help capture additional information that’s relevant to your business.

Pro Tip 3: Clearly label your products as "Main" or "Bump" within the Products tab. Bump products are great for upselling and can increase your average order value without disrupting the checkout flow.

FAQ

Q1: Can I add more than one product to a single funnel step?
Yes, you can add multiple products to a single funnel step, but only one can be marked as the main product, and others can be designated as bump products to encourage additional purchases.

Q2: What’s the difference between a one-step and a two-step order form?
A one-step order form collects all customer information on a single page, while a two-step order form breaks the process into stages, typically separating contact details from payment information. Two-step forms can reduce cart abandonment by capturing lead information early in the process.

Q3: How do I handle taxes and shipping costs in the order form?
You can customize the order form to include fields for taxes and shipping costs within the Shipping and Info tabs. This allows you to add any additional charges needed for a more accurate total during checkout.

Q4: Why is my product not showing up in the order form preview?
Ensure that the product has been correctly added to the funnel from the Products tab before inserting the order form into the funnel builder. If the product is still not visible, double-check that you have saved all changes and that there are no errors in your configuration settings.
