Affiliate campaigns are a powerful tool for driving sales and rewarding your partners for their contributions. Whether you’re new to affiliate marketing or looking to optimize your strategy, this guide will walk you through the process of creating a successful campaign. By leveraging features like customizable commissions, multi-tier support, and direct affiliate assignments, you can build a robust system to incentivize affiliates and boost your business growth.

Navigation

Step 1: Start by Clicking the "Add" Button

  • Navigate to Marketing on the left > Affiliate Manager at the top > From the dropdown select Campaigns
  • Click +Add to create a new campaign

Step 2: Choose Your Campaign Source

Select the source for your campaign, such as a funnel, website, or store. This defines where your products are listed and sales will be tracked.

The Affiliate Manager also supports external websites, allowing you to create campaigns, track sales, and manage commissions for websites hosted outside the platform. For more information please see the article “Create Affiliate Campaigns using External Websites”

Step 3: Configure Source Details

Choose a landing page for potential customers, which will generate a unique affiliate link. This link will automatically replace the placeholder <<affiliate_id>> with each affiliate's ID for accurate tracking.

Please Note:

Currently, only funnels, websites, and stores support product sales via affiliate campaigns. However, you can also track leads and pay affiliates for generating leads through forms, surveys, and calendars.

Landing page selection is just used to set where the potential customers will land. Please note that tracking will be done source wide not just on the landing page.

Step 4: Review Your Product List

Ensure only commission-eligible products are listed by reviewing and editing the product list associated with your campaign.

Step 5: Set Default Commission

Choose between a flat fee or percentage-based commission as the default reward structure for your affiliates.

Customize affiliate rewards for recurring products with Commission Length and Variable Commissions.

Limit commissions to a set number of transactions or assign varying rates for specific charges.

For more details please view the article, Commission Length and Variable Commissions in Affiliate Manager

Step 6: Customize Product-Level Commissions (Optional)

For greater control, set specific commissions for individual products, adjusting payouts based on price or other factors.

Step 7: Enable Multi-Tier Commissions

Go to Advanced Commissions settings and enable multi-tier commissions, supporting up to seven tiers for intricate structures.

Step 8: Configure Tier-Specific Commissions

Assign commissions to each tier, either using the default rate or customizing them based on performance goals.

Step 9: Add a Campaign Description (Optional)

Include a brief description to highlight the campaign’s purpose and attract affiliates.

Step 10: Assign Affiliates Directly

Review affiliate details and assign them directly to your campaign for a streamlined management process.

Step 11: Adjust Additional Settings

Customize your campaign further with options such as:

  • Affiliate onboarding email templates
  • Cookie duration for affiliate tracking
  • Payout terms and inclusion of setup fees in commission calculations
  • Enabling sub-affiliate signups
  • Auto-enrolling new customers as sub-affiliates

Step 12: Publish or Save as Draft

Once satisfied with your setup, publish the campaign immediately or save it as a draft for further review.

Step 2: Edit or Delete an Affiliate Campaign

How to add 2nd Tier Commission

Second-tier commissions in affiliate marketing refer to a system where affiliates can earn commissions not only for the sales they directly generate but also for the sales generated by affiliates they refer to the program. This creates a multi-level structure where affiliates can benefit not only from their efforts but also from the efforts of those they recruit.

Here are some reasons why second-tier commissions can be beneficial in affiliate marketing:

  • Incentivizes Recruitment
  • Motivation for Affiliates
  • Rewards for Leadership and Mentorship
  • Long-term Growth Potential
  • Diversification of Income Streams
  • Attracts Experienced Affiliates
  • Competitive Advantage

How does Second Tier Affiliate Marketing work?

  • Go to Marketing > Affiliate Manager
  • Navigate yourself to Campaigns, Create new campaigns for running two-tier commissions.
  • While creating the campaign, there will be an option to add the first-tier commission and second-tier commission
  • The first tier commission will be rewarded to the affiliate that made the sale and the Second tier will be rewarded to the parent affiliate who referred the affiliate. Once the commission for the 2nd tier is set using flat or percentage.
  • Once the sales go through by the affiliate, the parent affiliate can check the network and sales commission for each affiliate in the network.
  • Also, the payout reflects second-tier commission collection
